James Raymond Watson

James Raymond Watson, age 72, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Mr. Watson, a native of Laurens County,  was born on June 10, 1952, to the late Clyde Burney Watson and the late Jeanette Veal Watson. He was a former employee of Mohawk Industries and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Eric Watson; brother, Ray Watson, and a sister, Becky Baggett.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 49 years, Beth Collins Watson of Dublin; sons, Brian Watson of Montrose and Ben Watson of Eastman; grandchildren, Greyson Watson, Allison Ward, and Emma Watson; sister, Runell Woodard, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rentz City Cemetery. Rev. Steve Freeman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
