Jean Dominey Yancey, age 82, of Dublin, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018.
Mrs. Yancey was born in Bulloch County to the late Rev. S.M. and Pearl Martin Dominey. She worked at FBS Homes as a mortgage lender prior to her employment with Georgia Power, where she worked until retirement in 2003. She was a member of the First Independent Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the Catherine Thomas Sunday School Class and various other committees. She was a member of the Agape Stitches Sewing Club and was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Yancey; brother, Rudolph Larry Dominey and sister, Lillian Patricia Dover.
Survivors include her sons, Brad Yancey (Sheila), of Dublin, Greg Yancey, of Charleston, S.C., and Steve Yancey, of Dublin; grandsons, Zac Yancey and Garrett Yancey, both of Dublin; niece, Gayle D. Stinson (Bruce), of Dublin; great-niece, Kristi Stinson, of Dublin and great-nephew, Blake Stinson, of Dublin and beloved friend and neighbor, Anna Fisher, of Dublin.
Services for Mrs. Yancey will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the First Independent Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Danville, GA. Pastor Paul Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour at the church.
Pallbearers will be Zac Yancey, Garrett Yancey, Blake Stinson, Jim Rhodes, Don Bradshaw, and Ted Calhoun.
