Jeffery Donald Garnto

Jeffery Donald Garnto, age 60, of Dublin, GA, passed away on May 14, 2021.

Jeff was born in Laurens County on August 1, 1960, to the late William Donald Garnto and the late Aurelia Clements Garnto. He was a Senior Carrier for the United States Postal Service with over 25 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and the Gunch gang.

Jeff was an avid fisherman and a huge Georgia Bulldog fan. He was looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild, Holden Garnto, in September. He was a family man who was loved by his family, co-workers, and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Garnto; and grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Cochran, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Clements, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Garnto.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Garnto, of Dublin; daughter, Amber Garnto, of Dublin; son, Alex Garnto (Holly), of Dudley; sisters, Linda Jo Riner (Morris T) of Kite, and Faye Kilgore, of East Dublin; grandparents, AJ and Betty Josey, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Monday, May 17, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Adrian, GA. Rev. Tommy Veal and Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate.

Pallbearers will be John Henry, Eric Henry, Chad Harrison, Kim Smith, Charles Wilkes, and Henry Lamb. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Powell and Morris T. Riner, III.
