Jessie Clarence Veal

Services for Jessie Clarence Veal, age 87, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM Monday, February 5, 2018, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Rentz Cemetery.  Rev. Lewis Miller will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.  Mr. Veal died Friday, February 2, 2018.

Mr. Veal was a hard working man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and great great-grandfather.  He loved people and he was the most honest and caring person anyone could ask for.  He was kind to everyone.  He loved the Lord. He loved being outdoors and spending time raising cows and hogs.

Mr. Veal was preceded in death by his loving wife, Myrtle Veal; parents, John Lewis and Maxie Veal; brother, Douglas Veal; and son-in-law, Gene Brooks.

Survivors include his children, Linda Sue Veal White,  Wayne (Betty Faye) Veal, Judy Veal, Bobby (Wynette ) Veal, all of Dublin, and Clara  Brooks, , of Fortworth, TX; grandchildren, Kim White (Joey) Wynn, Tim (Angie) Veal, Jason (Tara) Veal, Tommy (Chrissy) Veal, all of Dublin, Ashley Brooks, of Fortworth, Kela Horne (Jason) Collins, Josh (Krista) Horne, both of Savannah; step-grandchildren, Michael (Stacy) Brooks, of Dublin, and Kevin Brooks, of Atlanta; twenty great- grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

Tim Veal, Jason Veal, Tommy Veal, Josh Horne, Joey Wynn, Dean Veal Melvin Veal, and Jason Colllins will serve as pallbearers.
