Jimmy Walton Schell., age 89, of Dudley, passed away on February 27, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia.
He was born on September 11, 1934, to the late T.A. Schell and Jennie Register Schell. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lokella Thomas Schell, daughter, Kristy Schell Warren, grandson, Michael Gay, and a sister, Winnie Ruth Schell.
Mr. Schell was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and Trustee at Dublin First Independent Methodist Church. He retired from Behlen Manufacturing Company and Best Buy. Mr. Schell was an avid golfer, who enjoyed flying planes and watching westerns, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two daughters, Dawn Kelly (Charles) and Leigh Conrad (Chad), grandchildren, Ryan Wicker (Thomas), Danielle Holmes (Walt), Jimmy Warren (Hannah), Jack Warren (Monica), and Drew Kelly; eleven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Shirley Raffield, Pat Jones, Virginia Stanley, and Claudia Garner, son-in-law, Jerry Warren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Schell will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Thomas Wicker will officiate. The family will be at the home of Dawn and Charles Kelly for friends to visit.
