Jimmy Sutton

A graveside service for Jimmy Randall Sutton, age 74, will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Graham Memorial. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers are Chip Smith, Brett Spivey, Tony Veal, Claude Sutton, David Veal, and Florentino Figuroa. 

Mr. Sutton was born in Dublin to the late Earl Sutton and the late Evelyn Smith Sutton on November 11, 1948. He served in the United States Army, where he received the Bronze Star Medal and sincerely enjoyed flying helicopters. After serving in the military, Jimmy worked as a lineman for Georgia Power and later retired. He worked with Sutton Construction and enjoyed working with heavy machinery. He attended Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Sutton.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patsy Sutton of East Dublin; daughter, Courtney Edge (Cody) of Dublin; grandchildren, Kayleigh Edge, Hannah Edge, and Matthew Edge; sisters, Roselyn Smith (Hugh), Flossie Veal, and Vickie Sutton; and several nieces and nephews.
