Jody Faircloth Alford, age 84, of Dublin, passed away on May 3, 2020.
Mrs. Alford was born in Rentz, GA to the late Robert Melton Watson and the late Dessie Lowery Watson. She worked as office manager for the Children’s Clinic in Dublin for over 35 years. She was a member of Montrose Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was involved in various ministries.
Mrs. Alford was also involved in many associations within her community. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Dublin and was a volunteer with Serenity Hospice as well as a Pink Lady at Fairview Park Hospital.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy E. Faircloth and Kayron Alford, and a brother, Dalton Watson.
Mrs. Alford is survived by her daughter, Lynn Wyatt (Jimmy Ray), of Dublin; sons, Frankie Faircloth (Sandra), of Hawkinsville and Mike Faircloth (Paula), of Rentz; grandchildren. Justin Wyatt (Sarah), and Kristen Sweat (Matt), both of Dublin, and Courtney Moore (Robert), of Hawkinsville; great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Wyatt Sweat, Logan and Lili Rae Wyatt, and Charley, James, Tripp, and Will Moore; sisters, Nelda Newman, of Atlanta, Mary Kay Smith, of Rentz, and Katrina Lord (Earl), of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in Montrose Cemetery. Rev. Darren Talley will officiate.
