Joel Franklin Cauley, age 85, of Dudley, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
Joel Cauley was born in 1935 in Dudley, Georgia to the late Cuylor and Velma Davis Cauley. He graduated from Dudley High School and served in the Army Reserves. Mr. Cauley was an entrepreneur and retired accountant at Robins Air Force Base. He was also a faithful member of Dudley United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Otha Cauley.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Nolan Couey Cauley, of Dudley; sisters-in-law, Lois Cauley, of Dudley, and Carol Holton, of Norman Park, GA; nieces and nephews, Kathy Cauley Harrison (Jeff), Michael Cauley, and Sherry Cauley Smith, all of Dudley; Michele Cauley Ivey (Paul), of Columbus; Jim Wilkes and Glen Sterling, both of East Dublin; Mary Ann Sterling, of Cartersville, and Mike Wilkes (Lisa), of East Dublin. He is also survived by several grand nephews and nieces, Erin Smith, Holly Garnto (Alex), and Victoria Smith, all of Dudley, David Harrison (Kayla) and Dylan Harrison (Heather), both of Dudley, Gabriel Cauley and Margaret Cauley, both of Dudley, Jack Ivey and Ben Ivey, both of Columbus, Dayton Wilkes of East Dublin; and great-great niece and nephew, Audrey Rose Raley and Walker Drake Harrison, both of Dudley.
Private services for Mr. Cauley will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Dudley United Methodist Church. Rev. Sam Collins and Rev. Ed Ellington will officiate. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens; friends welcome.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Allen, Eric Young, Albin Watson, Foster Goff, Bobby Allen, and Jim Wilkes.
