John Lawrence Hall of Dublin passed away Thursday, January 14th. He was 73.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Marion Hall Jr. and Robbie Martin Hall; brother, James Marion Hall III and sister, Mary Elizabeth Hall; nephews, James Marion Hall IV and John Hadden Hall.
He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Debra Lee Hall and their children, Anna Lee Hall, Martin Lawrence Hall and Mary Leah Hall; his sister, Benita Hall Sims; nieces and nephews, Lynn Sims Hughes, Stephen Sims, Debra Spires, Liz Dodge, Cate Braswell; and a large extended family of great nieces, nephews and cousins who were loved dearly.
Lawrence found joy in visiting with friends and family, a conversation over breakfast at the local Burger King or driving to see loved ones. He was always ready with a hug and a story to share. Lawrence worked many years as a high school teacher for Dublin City and Laurens County School Systems, while also working as a registered nurse. He retired from his alma mater, Dublin High School, that he proudly cheered for at any sporting event. After retirement, he continued his love for teaching as a GED instructor for Oconee Fall Line Technical College.
A celebration of life will be held graveside at Hall Family Cemetery on Lucian Road in Dublin, Wednesday, January 20th at 2 p.m. All are welcome. Masks will be required.
