Obituary

Johnny Earl Evans, age 79, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Evans was born in Dublin on November 28, 1943 to the late JB Evans and Mattie Knight Evans. He was a retired school teacher with the Laurens County Board of Education.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Carmen Donessa Arnold, and brother, Carl Evans.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Evans of Rentz; granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Tazz) Francis of Rentz; grandson, Joshua Caleb Arnold of Dexter; and great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Kandice Francis and Davina Mattie-Klaire Francis.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate.
