Joseph Foster Sims, Sr.

Joseph Foster Sims, Sr. age 85, of Stockbridge, GA, passed away on May 3, 2025.

Mr. Sims was born on July 24, 1939, in Florence, SC, to the late Jolley and Flora Mae Hutcheson Sims. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country with pride and dedication.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Grooms Sims, of Stockbridge, GA; son, Joey Sims (Vicky) of Kennesaw, GA; and grandsons, Justin Lee Sims, Shawn Sims, and Charles Sims.

A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Union Springs Baptist Church with the burial to follow in the church cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
