Joseph Kyle Walker of Dublin, GA passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Cameron Walker and Wilma Powell Walker and nephew, Joshua David Cole.
Mr. Walker was the youngest of four siblings and is survived by his sisters, Suzanne (David) Cole of Dublin and Sandra (James) Bennett of McRae, as well as his brother, David (Beth) Walker of East Dublin. He is also remembered by his nieces and nephews: Amy Bennett of Savannah; Emily (Brent), Brogen, and Gunner Wood of Cadwell; Ada Walker of Dublin; and Cameron (Heather), Rosie, Graham, and Meredith Bennett of McRae.
A U.S. Navy veteran and truck driver by trade, Mr. Walker excelled as a sportsman and outdoorsman. He had a particular affinity for trout fishing in North Georgia, golf, and college football, and was a dedicated supporter of the University of Georgia Bulldogs. His expertise extended to locating Native American arrowheads, artifacts, and tools. Additionally, Mr. Walker was known for his compassion toward animals, having cared for numerous stray cats and dogs.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Bethlehem/Sandhill Methodist Church in Telfair County.
In honoring Mr. Walker’s affection for stray animals, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dublin-Laurens County Humane Society, 618 Firetower Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021 in his memory.
