Joyce Evelyn Dean-McKinney

Evelyn Dean McKinney, age 91 went on to her heavenly home on June 17, 2021.

Mrs. McKinney was born in Dublin to the late Mr. Prentice Ward and Mrs. Lollie Mae Pittman Ward. She was formerly of Dublin but was living in Eatonton up until her passing. Mrs. McKinney was a long time employee of Imperial Men’s Shop. She enjoyed fishing and singing in her church choir and family gatherings. Mrs. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, William Albert Dean, second husband, Lloyd McKinney, and sisters, Marie Howell, Hazel Cliatt and Willene Williams.

She is survived by her sister, Margie Alligood of Dexter, aunts, Addie Dean of Milledgeville and Eva Williams of Florida, step children, Frances Latham (Cal), Carol Warnock and Cindy Dunn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Services for Mrs. Evelyn will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until funeral hour. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery.

Her nephews will serve as pall bearers.
