Mrs. Judith Ann Brown, age 79, passed away Monday, July 30, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Brown was born November 16, 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Joe Moring Bedingfield, Sr. and Ruth Cummings Bedingfield, and her brother, Joe Moring Bedingfield, Jr and sister-in-law, Mildred Bedingfield Graham. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Micro Technology Consultants, in Warner Robins, Georgia, as a contract negotiator. Prior to her retirement, she was formerly employed with International Telephone & Telegraph / Federal Electric Corporation, in Vandenberg AFB, California, for 23 years and Parker Aerospace, in Santa Maria, California, and Dublin, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Clifford Brown; her daughter, Terri (Brian) Watson; two nieces, Lori Bedingfield (Michael) Gonzalas, of Murfreesboro, TN, and Karen Bedingfield (Phil) Rotundi, of Lompoc, California; a host of cousins, including two special cousins who are coordinating the Celebration of Life in South Carolina, Harriett (Ray) Murdaugh and Karen Murdaugh (Jeremy) Sootter; a special friend of many years, Lori Melton and her grandson, Rowdy Minter; and her two fur babies, Sophia and Panda.
Pallbearers will be Ray Murdaugh, III, Jerry Cummings, Lewis Cummings, James Cummings, Alex Cummings, Ken Cope. Honorary pallbearers will be Rowdy Minter and Jeremy Sootter.
A special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Fairview Park Hospital, Dublin, Georgia, whose hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Hampton, South Carolina on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, with a visitation an hour prior to services, and graveside services will follow immediately afterward at Varnville Cemetery, in Varnville, South Carolina. Dr. Tommy Kelly will be officiating the services.
