Julius “Butch” Jeskey, age 74, of Rentz, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
Mr. Jeskey was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a United States Navy Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam conflict. He worked many years as a policeman and as a System Engineer with the Cleveland School System. He was a former Engineer Forman at Metro Health Medical Center and at the Cleveland Energy Power Plant before moving to Georgia in 2003. He enjoyed riding Gold Wing Motorcycles and served as an Assistant Chapter Director in Dublin, Georgia. Butch loved to fish, hunt rabbits, spend time working in his yard, and fixing things. He was the best husband, father, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Bonnie Jeskey, of Rentz, GA; daughter, Kimmy Jo Jeskey, of Chester, GA; sister, Shirley Koscinski, of Punta Gorda, FL; and sister-in-law, Sandra Ratajczyk, of Medina, OH.
A memorial service with Military honors will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Chaplain George Grimes will officiate. A celebration of life picnic will be held across the street following the service on the lawn of the Bicentennial and Jackson Plaza.
