Katrina Mathews

Katrina Bryan Mathews, age 76, of Dexter, went to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Katrina was born on July 10, 1948, in Dublin, Georgia to the late David Bryan and Ida Hatcher Bryan. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Brown, Ethel Dykes, Bobby Bryan, Louise Mullis, Howard Bryan and Sheila Hall.

Katrina is survived by her loving husband, Robert N. “Bobby” Mathews of Dexter; two loving daughters, Nicole Foskey Wann of Bogart and Denise Foskey Lane (Scott) of Eastman; son, Chad Foskey (Rena) of Monroe; grandchildren, Alexandria Roberson (Eli), Abigail Wann, Ashley Wann, Parker Runyan, Cameron Foskey (Kelsey), and Jesse Foskey (Stevie);her great-grandchildren, Chloe Foskey, Sophie Foskey, Isaac Foskey and Caroline Foskey; sister, Marcia Weathersbee, and plenty of nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Dexter High School where she helped the Dexter Hornets win a state championship in basketball, she began her career with Bellsouth.  After retirement from BellSouth, she began working at Mohawk to occupy her time. She was an active member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and was a past member of the Chester Lions Club. Katrina was very talented and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. She loved her family deeply.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church burial to follow at Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Hall will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at church.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Hall, Kevin Bryan, Cameron Foskey, Jesse Foskey, Dillon King, and Robert Mullis. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 2605 Mt. Carmel Church Rd., Dexter, GA 31019.
