Larry Andrew Echols went to be with his heavenly Father on September 18, 2024.
Born on September 11, 1952, in Dublin Georgia to the late Woodrow and Lizzie Mae Echols, Larry’s life was a testament of his unwavering faith, and love for his church and his family.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Allen Echols; brother-in-law, Richard “Gene” Garner, and niece, Kirsten O’Quinn.
His memory will be cherished by his son, Robert Andrew Echols; sisters, Bertie Garner and Terri (Emory) Garnto; niece, Stephanie O’Quinn; nephews, Stephen Garner, Eric Garnto, and Andrew Garnto, and several great-nieces and nephews and extended family members.
After graduating from Dublin High School, Larry joined the United States Air Force where he later retired. He loved his military life. He also retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base after many years of dedicated service.
Larry was a faithful member of his church, Cornerstone Assembly of God. He was devoted to his church family and serving in any capacity as needed.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Cornerstone Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the service at the church. Pastor Phil Bruce will officiate.
Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be members of his church.
