Leon Morrell, age 77, of Cadwell, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Morrell retired from Bluebird Body Company and from the Army National Guard. He was a member of Cadwell Baptist Church. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Myrtice Morrell; sister, Louise Nelson; brothers, Ronald Morrell and Danny Morrell; and mother–in–law and father-in-law James and Pearl Heath.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa Heath Morrell of Cadwell; fur babies, “Gabe” and “BoBo”; children, Bret Tindall (Amanda) of Locust Grove, Brian Tindall (Sherri) of Eastman, Miranda McKeegan (Thomas) of Cataula, Dwayne Morrell (Wendy) of Columbus and Tim Morrell (Sherry) of Cataula; grandchildren: Slayder Tindall, Lilly Grace Tindall, Casey McKeegan Eastman, Riley McKeegan, Ashleigh Saville, Drew Morrell, Amber Walker, Max Morrell, Carter Morrell, Brooke Morrell, Kelsey Fogt, Mallory Ingram, and Garrett Morrell; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Orine Smith, Rachel Luecke, Martha Studstill (Marvin), and Marion Morrell; brother-in-law, Wayne Heath (Sherri); sister, Virginia Randall (Randy), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Al Haywood and Mr. Brent Redforn will officiate.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Val Smith, Clay Hughes, Jonny Davis, Don Dykes, Roy Morrell, and Freddie Fuller.
