Loette Roberson

Annie Loette Roberson, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on August 18, 1933, to the late John L. Dixon and Annie Mae Woodard Dixon, Annie's life was a testament to the enduring strength and grace that she carried with her from her earliest days.

Loette's journey through life was marked by her dedication to her family, her work, and her faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all. Though preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie Gay and Delmer Gay and a great-grandson, Michael Gay, her legacy of love continues through her son, Donnie (Jeanie) Gay, her grandsons, Ron (Lisa) Gay, Jamie (Sonja) Gay, Randy (Shannon) Gay, Don (Nicci) Gay, and her granddaughters, Renee (Will) Anderson and Robyn (Brad) Meeks. The family tree she nurtured with such care has flourished, with 16 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.

Loette's professional life was marked by an impressive 42-year tenure at J.P. Stevens and Forstmann, where she was known for her strong work ethic and her warm spirit. Her retirement did not diminish her involvement in the community, as she remained an active member of the Rentz Baptist Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and she lived it out with every action and every word, inspiring those around her. She also worked at Ronnie’s Deer Processing.

Her interests reflected the depth of her faith and the joy she found in simple pleasures. Loette was often found immersed in the melodies of gospel music or lost in the pages of religious novels, finding solace and strength in the stories and songs that spoke of a higher love and purpose. Her love for these pastimes was a reflection of her inner tranquility and the hope she carried within her.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Rentz City Cemetery with Rev. Tom Vann and Rev. Henry Dixon officiating.
