Lois Elizabeth Crowder, age 100, of Dublin, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Crowder was born in Laurens County on February 1, 1921, to the late John Franklin and Willie Lee Evans Ellington. She was retired from JP Stevens and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crowder was preceded in death by her husband, James Crowder; siblings, Jeanne Ellington, Marjorie Bailey, Lillian Stuckey, Johnny Ellington, Charles Ellington, and Jimmy Ellington; great-grandchildren, Julia and Noah Karoly, and great-great-grandchild, Olivia Jane Grooms.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Darby, of Dublin, Jeanne Collins, of Acworth, Jimmie Roberts, of Dublin, and Joy Weber, of Dublin; son, James M. Crowder (Pat), of Dublin; sisters, Grace McEachern, Joyce Jones, Sue Weaver, and Eloise Hester; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Crowder will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Danny Duggar will officiate.
