Lucien Roy Kight, age 86, of East Dublin, passed away on November 1, 2022.
Mr. Kight was born in Laurens County on March 2, 1936, to the late Willie Wesley Kight and the late Thelma Cobb Kight. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Georgia College. He was a retired sales rep from Piedmont Chemical Corp. Roy attended Bethlehem Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman and farmer. He was a humble man with a strong work ethic who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 65 years, Betty D. Kight of Dublin; daughters, Darla K. Evans (Donald) of Lexington, SC, and Lisa K. Skeeters (Brad) of Dublin; sister, Christine Chafin of East Dublin; brother, Wayne Kight of East Dublin; granddaughter, Hillary Leister (Jeff) of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Harrison Evans (Casey) pf Columbia, SC, Bennett Skeeters (Katy) of East Dublin, and Davis Skeeters of Dublin; great-grandson, Wyatt Skeeters of East Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 10:45AM on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with graveside services to follow at 11:00AM in the church cemetery. Rev. Matt Haywood will officiate.
Harrison Evans, Larry Kight, Bennett Skeeters, Davis Skeeters, Lewis Foskey, James Deal, Sr., and Tim Graham will serve as pallbearers.
