Luke Harold Youngblood, age 48, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Luke was born in Baldwin County on January 12, 1973, and was a 1991 graduate of West Laurens High School and painter by trade. He loved music and was a great guitar player. He enjoyed playing gospel and blues music and even started his own band. He also shared his musical talent in his church band. Luke was a humble, down-to-earth Christian man who had a kind heart. He was a loving father, uncle, brother, son, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Harold Youngblood.
Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Diers Youngblood Elias (Hernan), of Cochran; son, Matthew Russell Youngblood, of Eastman; daughter, Naomi Renee Youngblood, of Eastman; step-son, Grant Pittman, of Dahlonega; brothers, Russell Mark Youngblood, of Dexter, and John Russ Youngblood, of Warner Robins; sister, Bonnie Renee Youngblood, of Dexter; several nieces and nephews, Lilly Pearl Youngblood, Daymion Latrell Youngblood, Cheyenne Essanay Youngblood, Zyetaveye Ja’Draque Youngblood, Luleana La-Nay Youngblood, Mahalia Murray, and many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 1st, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Joey Diers will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Stewart, Jerrett Stewart, Tony Wright, Derek Barron, Craig Pickett, and Daymion Youngblood.
