Lynda Clark Obituary

Lynda Crooms Clark, left this world on January 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be cherished for generations to come.

Born on May 16, 1945, in Montrose, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Crooms Sr. and Nora Lucinda Bell Crooms. She spent her final days surrounded by her loving family. Her journey through life was shared with her late husband, Delacy Clark of 52 years. Together, they raised their three children, Christie Clark Brown (Eli), Lucinda "Cindy" Clark Sumner, both of East Dublin, and Eric Brian Clark (Sally Diers) of Dublin; her life further blossomed with the joy of her grandchildren, Michaelyn Michelle Sumner and Christopher James Brown, great grand –son, Zace Octivus Durham, who they called her “NaNa”, her sister-in-laws, Peggy Crooms and Francis Crooms amd several nieces and nephews.

A proud graduate of Dublin High School, Lynda was an embodied spirit, resilient and passion, which she carried throughout her life and careers with the Oxford Shirt Factory and Olan Mills. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and her dedication to her craft was evident to all who worked alongside her. As a devout Christian, Lynda found solace and strength in her faith and was a member of the Soperton Church of God, and attended Crossway Fellowship Church in Dublin, where she not only worshiped but also served her community with unwavering commitment.

Lynda's zest for life was reflected in her various interests and hobbies. She enjoyed playing Bingo, her laughter infectious to all around her. An avid fan of gospel sings, she took delight in the harmonious melodies that lifted her spirit. Lynda's baking and cooking brought people together, creating memories that lasted a lifetime. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and eating banana split blizzards. In every aspect of life, Lynda embodied love. She took on the role of caregiver with ease, whether it be through or babysitting or cleaning houses. Her hands, always willing to work, were also quick to comfort and care. She leaves behind a community that admired her for her charitable nature and a family that looked up to her as both a role model and cornerstone.
