Lynn (Sumner) Melton

Lynn Melton, age 59, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019,

Mrs. Melton was born in Laurens County on August 8, 1960. She was a graduate of Talladega High School and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southern College. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and retired from the Human Resource Department as a Payroll Manager with Community Mental Health. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Bracewell Sumner, and son, Joshua Melton.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Melton, of Dublin; father, Charles Sumner, of Dublin; son, Kyle Melton (Kristy), of Dublin; daughter, Audrie Hancock (Clint), of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brailey Gyger and Bentley Hancock, both of Moultrie, Boa Melton, Drake Melton, Laith Davis, and Kaitlyn Davis, all of Dublin; and uncle, Frank Sumner, of Adrian.

Services for Mrs. Melton will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at noon in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bracewell Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Jones, Rev. Kevin Tanner, and Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10:30AM until service hour on Friday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Melton, Dillon Graham, Patrick Moore, Matt Dimmen, Tim Howell, Josh Sutton and Jay Mullis.
