Graveside services for Mrs. Mable B. Keen, 92, will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. The Rev. George Grimes will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the cemetery.
Born in Laurens County on March 31, 1928, Mrs. Keen was the daughter of the late Roy Bell and the late Madge R. Bell. She was a homemaker, a former crossing guard at Saxon Heights Elementary School for the Dublin Police Department, and an employee for the former Mohawk Carpet Industry in East Dublin. She was also an employee for Pic-n-Pay Shoes, Inc. for many years. Her husband, the late Lyman “Pete” Keen, Sr., preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tony L. Keen; a sister, Robbie B. George; and brothers, Claude Bell, of Dublin and Frank Bell, of Mobile, AL. Mrs. Keen died Saturday, September 26, 2020, at the Villas on Bellevue.
Survivors include her sister, Shirley Giddens, of Hinesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Lyman “Jimmy” Keen, Jr., and Ann Keen, of Wilmot, South Dakota; son and daughter-in-law, Denny Robert “Bob” Keen and Brenda Keen, of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Mark Franklin Keen and Cynthia J. Keen, of Dublin; grandchildren, Erin Hansil, of Marietta, GA; Sandra Addis, of York, SC; and Quentin Keen, of Dexter, GA; several other nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
