Mallory Evans

Mr. James Mallory Evans, age 78, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Mr. Evans was born February 21, 1947 in Bleckley County, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Herbert Evans and Louise Battle Evans; four brothers, Herbert “Red” Evans, Hobert “Buddy” Evans, Wendell Evans and Truitt Evans and two sisters, Mildred Brown and Mattie Sanders. He was retired as an insurance agent from Georgia Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Evans; two sons, Stacy (Angie) Evans and Jason (Trish) Evans; 12 grandchildren; seven (soon to be eight great-grandchildren); a brother, Thomas (Bonnie) Evans; and four sisters, Rebecca (Cecil) Cannon, Gloria Williams, Linda Carroll and Loretta (Joe) O’Neil.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gerald Frazier officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
