Marcia Lea Daniel, 77, of Dublin, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. Services for Mrs. Daniel will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Pine Forest United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Adams and Rev. Joel Dent officiating. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Daniel was born on August 5, 1944, in Dublin, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Waddell Smith and Margie Bracewell Smith, and Rufus L. Autry, her husband, James T. “Tommy” Daniel, and her son, Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Daniel. She was a lifetime resident of Dublin-Laurens County and a retired dental hygienist of 30 years.
She was a long-term, active member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Lawrence Smalley Sunday school class, and the Susannah Wesley circle. In addition, she chaired the church’s Soup Kitchen for several years and served in other church activities.
Survivors include her children: James R. “Jamey” Daniel, Franklin Bruce (Debra) Daniel, Michele Daniel (Jack) Hughes, all of Dublin; brother, Terry (Grace) Autry, of Dublin, sister, Sandy Frost, of Dublin, grandchildren; Kelli Moye, of Dublin, Jim (Mandy) Daniel, of Dublin, Rebekah (Dani) Daniel, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Brett Daniel, of Lawrenceville, Jake (Cassidy) Branch, of Macon, Josh (Stevie Rae) Branch, of Dublin, Brian Hughes, of Summerville, South Carolina, Evan Hughes, of Dublin, Taylor (Matt) Taylor, of Dublin, Zachery (Amy) Daniel, of Flintstone, great-grandchildren, Tobin Moye, Kruz Daniel, Payton Heuett, Bentley Hodges, Murphey Jo Branch, Harrison Flynn, Madison Flynn, Everett Taylor, Ellis Taylor, Isla Daniel, and other various family members.
Pallbearers will be Jim Daniel, Brett Daniel, Jake Branch, Josh Branch, Brian Hughes, Evan Hughes, Zachery Daniel, and Matt Taylor.
The family will be at the residence of Jack and Michele Hughes, 1355 Wade Hampton Rd, Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children & Youth, P.O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31204.
