Marie Floyd

Marie Gochenour Floyd, age 74, of Dexter, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Mrs. Floyd was a homemaker and loved flowers. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Gochenour, and brothers, William and Edwin Gochenour.

She is survived by her husband, Baynard Floyd, of Dexter; sons, Michael Anderson and Robert Anderson; brothers, Earl Benson, and Steve Gochenour; step-daughters, Lana Alexander and Mona Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 4, 2022, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
