Marion Coleman Dixon, age 86, of East Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Scott Nursing Home and Rehab.
Mrs. Dixon was born in Laurens County on February 28, 1935, to the late Gerald and Evelyn Miller Coleman. Mrs. Dixon co-owned Hal- Mar Ceramics with her husband, the late David H. Dixon Sr., for over 30 years. They specialized in the reproduction of antique pieces and traveled to arts and crafts shows throughout the Southeast. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. In 2017, Mrs. Marion was crowned as Misses Scott Nursing Home and then qualified for the state Misses Nursing home where she received 4th place. She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by her sons, David H. Dixon Jr. (Lynne), of Waynesboro, VA, and Bob Dixon (Jennifer), of East Dublin; daughter, Karyn Mickle (Phillip), of Dublin; granddaughters, Megan Deaton (Matt), Kara Dixon, and Samantha Dixon, all of Waynesboro, VA; great-grandson, Cooper Deaton, of Waynesboro, VA; and brother, Terry Coleman (Ann), of Lexington, KY.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Sam Loyd will officiate.
