Marjorie Wade Adams, a treasured educator, devoted family matriarch, and active community member, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Dublin, GA. Born in Norfolk, VA, on January 3, 1945, to the late Oliver Perry Wade and Dorothy Gatlin Wade, Marjorie was a shining example of love, faith, and selflessness throughout her 81 years of life.
Marjorie dedicated her life to the service of others. After a fulfilling 30-year career as an educator with Dublin City Schools, she continued to pour her heart into the community she loved. She was a devout member of the First Baptist Church, where she actively participated in the Hands of Ruth Food Ministry, helping to nourish the bodies and spirits of those in need.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Marjorie’s commitment to her church and community was paralleled only by her dedication to her family. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Tony) Kouri and Wende (Frank) Moulis; her cherished grandchildren, Zach (Alyssa) Keller, Dr. Madison Keller, Jameson (Alice) Martin and Jordan (Adam) Moulis. Each of them benefited from her unwavering support, wisdom, and her spicy, sassy spirit that brought joy and laughter to every family gathering.
Beyond her immediate family, Marjorie was blessed with very special friends who became like family to her, Bryan (Tammy) Rogers, Jack Rogers, and Charley Rogers. The love and care they extended to her were beyond measure. Her later years were also enriched by the loving care provided by her caregivers, Sherri Lee and Debra Rogers, who ensured her comfort and well-being.
Marjorie's contributions extended beyond her professional and family life, as she was an active member of the Dublin Garden Club and was a certified Master Gardener. Her love for the outdoors and bird watching reflected her appreciation for nature's beauty and the simpler pleasures of life. She was also a staunch supporter of her late husband, James I. "Buddy" Adams, during his political career and an avid supporter of the Laurens County Republican Party.
Marjorie's legacy is one of enduring love and service. She was the epitome of a faith-filled life, always placing others before herself. Her ability to be fully present and attentive to her family and those around her left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of living with a generous and selfless heart.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Northview Cemetery with Mr. Claude Vines and Rev. Jack Brown officiating
