Marjorie Knowles Wood

Services for Marjorie Knowles Wood, age 79, of Dexter, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 11,2020, at Dexter Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Calvin Halcomb and Rev. Brandton Wood will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Mrs. Wood went to her heavenly home Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

Mrs. Wood enjoyed gardening, cooking, singing, sewing,  and chocolate.  She dearly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Mrs. Wood cherished her children and grandchildren.  She suffered from Alzheimer’s and passed peacefully in her sleep.

Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Mae Knight Knowles and Benjamin Franklin Knowles; husband, Morris Upton Wood; and child, Stephanie Moressa Wood.  Survivors include her children, Jeanine (Keith) Wilson, Latanya (Billy) Wagner, Blake Wood, Brandton (Katie) Wood; brother, Johnny Knowles; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bobby Wood, Dustin Collins, Alan Baggett, James Wood, Dana Patisaul, Tracy Howard, Bruce Knowles, and Mike Knowles will serve as pallbearers.
