Martha (Moore) Rouse

A memorial service for Martha M. Rouse will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Pine Hill Church.  Rev. Al Purser will officiate.

The daughter of the late Ralston A. Moore and Maxie F. Jones, Mrs. Rouse was a native of Dublin and Laurens County. She was the oldest member of Pine Hill Church.  Mrs. Rouse was well known throughout the business sector as she was in retail merchandising for 70 years. She passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022.

Mrs. Rouse was preceded in death by her husbands, Freeman J. Shepard and Harley E. Rouse, her son James R. “Ross” Shepard, four brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include her son, Don (Nancy) Shepard, grandsons, Jeffrey (Michele) Shepard, Freeman (Megan) Shepard, David Shepard (Brittiny Lord), great-grandchildren, Jessie, Jake, Sophie, and Ruby Shepard, a number of nieces and nephews and a very dear and loving friend of the family, Glenda Tapley.
