Mary Catherine (Brinson) Churchwell

Mary Catherine Churchwell, age 92, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020, in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hardeman will officiate. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and Staff respectfully ask all in attendance to follow social distancing guidelines and masks are suggested.

Mrs. Churchwell was born in Laurens County on August 28, 1928, and was a homemaker. She was a devout Christian and loved her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Churchwell, Sr.; son, Johnny Howell, and great-granddaughter, Autumn Lumley.

Survivors include her son, Gary Howell, of Dublin; daughter, Cathy Lumley (Dwight), of Dublin; grandchildren, Derek Lumley, of Dublin, Shawn Lumley and Jeremy Lumley, both of St. Augustine; Todd Lumley, of Dublin, Brandy Crews, of Atlanta, Gary Howell, and Jill Howell, of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Austin Lumley, Jesslynn Lumley, Ashlynn Lumley, Alea Lumley, Anna Lumley, Scooter Howell, Majoy Crews, and Knox Crews; step-sons, Freddie Churchwell, Jr. (Linda) and Joe Churchwell, both of Dublin; sister, Sallie Scarboro Wilkes, of Dublin, and daughter-in-law, Neva Howell, of Atlanta.
