Mary Linda (Locke) Warnock

Mary Linda Locke Warnock, 91, passed away early Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her home. Linda was the daughter of the late Mary Etta Edwards Locke and Wiley Flournoy Locke. She was a life-long member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Warnock was previously employed by J.P Stevens and Biljo. She loved her family and always looked forward to hosting the Locke family reunion each fall.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Clinton Warnock, her son, Carl Warnock, siblings, Frances Harmon, Alfred Locke, David Locke, Bobby Locke, Emma Jean Stuckey, and Helen Sammons.

Survivors include her children, Cathy (Billy) Brooks, Gene (Yvette) Warnock; grandchildren Joel (Krista) Brooks, Julia (Brian) Kim and James (Chelsea) Brooks. her sister Dorothy (John) Beasley, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family would like to recognize and thank her caregivers, Sherry Mitchell, Teresa Smith, Iris Rozier, Ruby Knight, and Frankie Coat.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, from 10:00-11:00 at Union Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow. Rev. Dwayne Clements will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church or Dublin Laurens County Humane Society.
