Mary Alice (Smith) Howard

Services for Mary Alice Howard, 79, of Dublin will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Grady Mimbs, Rev. James Fennell, and Rev. Ken Rodgers will officiate. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Chris Howell, Matt McCranie, Ralph Jeffers, Steve Howard, Danny Howard, Chris Howard, and Trent Howard.

Mrs. Howard was born in Laurens County on January 24, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Bill Smith and the late Mary Sanders Smith. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and the adult Sunday School class. She was a devout Christian and loved by her husband, family, and friends very dearly. She was known for her beautiful smile and willingness to help everyone. Mary Alice was a faithful example and kind spirit that will live on in our lives. She passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Survivors include her husband, David S. Howard; daughter, Alicia Howard Howell (Chris); granddaughter, Krystle Howell McCranie (Matt); great-granddaughter, Kinsley McCranie; sister, Judy Smith Wrye (Randall); uncle, Jack Sanders (Eudell) and also numerous nieces and nephews.

Space will be limited in the church to 60 people with an overflow available in the social hall. We respectfully ask all in attendance to please wear masks indoors and follow social distancing guidelines.
