Mary Helen Tapley

Mrs. Mary Helen Tapley, age 89, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Tapley was born September 5, 1932 in Statesboro, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Frank Harris and Mable Brown Harris, her husband, Grable Lavon Tapley, a brother, Frank Harris, III and a daughter-in-law, Iris A. Tapley. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Macon Motorboat Club. She retired from BilJo as an inspector after many years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, David Tapley, Dean (Susan) Tapley and Dwane (Lisa) Tapley, her grandchildren, Angel (Travis) Williford, David Tapley, Jr., Erica Beasley, Matt (Cathy) Rountree, Morgan (Joey) Hitchcock, Valerie (P.D.) Dahlke, Brian (Hannah) Tapley, Brittany (Clint) Darsey and Brandon (Chelsea) Tapley and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, June (Troy) Joyce and Margaret (JB) Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 12, 2021 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tommy Veal will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joey Hitchcock, Brian Tapley, Brandon Tapley, Clint Darsey, Chase Williford, P.D. Dahlke and Matt Rountree.
