Matthew Lane Swida

Matthew Lane Swida, beloved son of Billy Roy and Karen Lee Kight, passed away on December 18, 2023, after a brief illness.

Lane was born on August 5, 1983, in Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Trinity Christian School and lived in Dublin all his life. He was a kind, generous, and loving man.

Lane was preceded in death by his father, Lindsay Michael Swida, Sr. and his brother, Lindsay Michael Swida, Jr. His grandparents, Mary Frances Lee, Charles Murray Lee, Sr., Lois Swida, and Leonard Swida also preceded him in death, as well as his uncle, Charles Murray Lee, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Lane is survived by his stepmother, Sara Freeman Swida, and his cousins, Jennifer and Danny Tucker, Christian and Sherri Lee, and Susannah and Tony Hunt. He is also survived by his stepbrothers and their wives, Joshua Kight and Victoria and Brian Kight and Talya. Lane will also be greatly missed by his much loved pets, Tiger and Callie.

Lane was a cherished son and our lives are forever blessed by the years we had with him.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Northview Cemetery in Dublin, Georgia. He will be laid to rest beside his brother.
