Mavis Snow (Barfield) Taylor

Mavis Snow Taylor, age 88, of East Dublin, passed away on August 31, 2021.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Laurens County on November 19, 1932, to the late Charlie and Martha Elizabeth Barfield. She retired from Mohawk Industries and was a faithful member of Minter Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Curtis Taylor and Henry Snow; grandsons, Kevin Johnson and Chap Johnson; brothers, Tom Barfield, and Wilmer Barfield; sisters, Thelma Williams, Irene Wood, and Elmira Boyd.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail S. Johnson (Herman), of East Dublin; son, Billy Snow, of East Dublin; grandsons, Ivan Johnson (Rebecca), of Dublin and Victor Johnson (Katie), of East Dublin; granddaughter, Marcia Lynn Watkins (Andy); brother, Troy Barfield (Lucille), of Cleveland, TN;  great-grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Madison Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, Presley Gayle Johnson, Chan Johnson, and Rachel Johnson; great-great-grandchild, Benlee Johnson, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Minter Baptist Church Cemetery.

Andy Watkins, Ivan Johnson, Victor Johnson, Vicky Thigpen, and Rod Smith will serve as pallbearers.
