Maxine Clements

Lillian Maxine Clements, passed away on June 23, 2026, in Dublin, Georgia, at the age of 84.

Maxine was born on July 12, 1941, in Minter, Georgia, to the late Matthew and Stella Clements. She was preceded in death by her sister Esther Clements and brothers Eschol Clements and Edsel Clements. Her life was marked by faith, devotion, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

Maxine spent many years working as a seamstress at the Dublin Garment Factory (Oxford), where she was known for her steady hands, dependable spirit, and dedication to her work. She carried those same qualities into every part of her life. She was a faithful Christian and a devoted member of Union Baptist Church until her health declined. Her presence reflected her deep love for the Lord and her commitment to living a life of kindness and grace.

 Those who knew Maxine will remember her as a loving, kind, and faith-filled woman. She was a sweet and genuine person who loved her family dearly, found joy in the simple blessings of life, and had a special love for gospel music. Her gentle spirit and warm heart left a lasting impression on her family and friends.

She is survived by her brothers Edward Clements, Edgar Clements, Herschel Clements and his wife Ann, Fred Clements and his wife Kathy, Paul Clements, and Don Clements; her sisters Christine Shannon, Emma Jean Conner, and Wynell Brookins; and her special niece and caregiver, Leigh Ann Morris and her husband Chris. Each of these loved ones held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the bonds of family throughout her life.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June, 26, 2026, at Union Baptist Church.  Rev. Dwayne Clements will officiate.

The family would like to thank the staff at Compassus Hospice and Dublinair for their excellent care of Maxine in the last few months.
