Mazie Pope Morgan, age 94, of Adrian, GA, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Mrs. Morgan was born on August 22, 1931, in Scott, GA, to the late James Hilton Pope and the late Effie Thigpen Pope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Anthony Morgan, and sisters, Bernice Buttersworth, Gladys McTier, Myrtice Soles, and Emma Pope.
Mazie was a homemaker, a job she deeply cherished. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Brantley (Andy) of Wrightsville; Kathie Fountain (David) of Adrian, and Daphne Jackson (Joe) of Meeks; son, William Tracy Morgan of Scott; grandchildren: Brooke Fountain of Charlotte, NC; Kelli Fountain of Matthews, NC; Jake Jackson and Kate Jackson both of Meeks, GA; Andrea Jones (Clayton) of Tennille, GA; and Andrew Brantley of Wrightsville; great-grandchildren, R.T. Brantley and Gunnar Brantley both of Wrightsville, GA and Gage Kleingardner of Wrightsville; her sister and best friend, Pauline Belote of Scott, GA and special niece, Patricia Green (Carl) of Adrian, GA.
Graveside services for Mrs. Morgan will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Hardin will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Scott Volunteer Fire Department.
