Michael C. Warren was called home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2025, at the age of 72 after a fire at his residence. He was born in Dublin on July 2, 1953 to the late Clifford Nathaniel Warren and Melba Wright Warren. Mike grew up delivering groceries and stocking shelves at his father’s store, Fairway Foods in Dublin. He developed a passion for theater and fine arts while attending Dublin High School under the instruction of R. Lynn Woody. He enjoyed performing in plays with the drama club and went on to pursue a degree in theater from Georgia Southern, where he met his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Bunny. He had a lifelong devotion to serving the Lord through music ministry, serving as minister of music at Saxon Heights Baptist Church, Jefferson Street Baptist Church, Marie Baptist Church, East Dublin Baptist Church, Springdale Baptist Church, and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He supported and served as a volunteer for the theater programs at every high school in Dublin City and Laurens County, building sets, acting as a vocal coach, and serving as technical director. He ran lights and sound for countless productions at Theater Dublin and other locations. He spent over 18 years working in Child Support Enforcement for the State of Georgia before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Warren, his grandson, Nathan Warren, and his brother, Phil Warren.
Mr. Warren is survived by his wife, Bunny Kimbrew Warren, children, Patrick (Jennifer) Warren, Paul (Christy) Warren, grandchildren, Taylor Thrasher, Hunter Thrasher, ShelbyAnn Thrasher, Olivia Warren, Noah Warren, Jenna Warren, Luke Warren, his sister-in-law Jan Warren, niece Catherine Warren, and nephew Andrew Warren.
