Ned Jackson Perry, passed away on Sunday July 7, 2025, at the age of 94. There will be a private burial in Northview Cemetery in Dublin, GA. A memorial service will be held on July 27th at 3:00 o'clock at Highland Hills Baptist Church Macon, GA in the Chapel followed by Celebration of Life in the Great Room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1370 Briarcliff Road, Macon, Georgia 31211.
Mr. Perry was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late Andrew Jackson Perry and Vivie Fordham Perry. He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 63 years, Jacquelyn Mayo Perry; step-daughter, Dorothy Lynn Estes Springer; brother, James Fordham Perry; and sisters, Joan Perry Pass and Betty Perry Jones.
Mr. Perry graduated from Dudley High School and attended Mercer University. He served in the Korean Conflict with the US Army, 2nd Div 23rd Inf., K Co stationed near Old Baldy Hill in South Korea. He was a retired Data Systems Operator employed by Armstrong World Industries in Macon for 35 years. He spent many years after that as a driver for local auto dealerships. After retirement, he reconnected with former war buddies and enjoyed attending reunions around the country for many years. Mr. Perry was a former member of the Macon Exchange Club and attended Highland Hills Baptist Church. He had an exceptional memory recalling details like peoples birth dates. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Andrew N. Perry (Lisa) of Fredericksburg, VA; grandson, John Wesley Berry, III of Atlanta, and several nieces, and a nephew.
