Nelda Kay (Foskey) Owens

Nelda Kay Owens, age 73, of East Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Mrs. Owens was born in Laurens County on January 5, 1948, to the late William Ovid and Carrie Bell Foskey. She was a 1966 graduate of East Laurens High School and worked as a beautician at Mavis’ Beauty Shop in her early life. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Nelda was a federal employee retiring from the Department of Medical Services.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Owens; grandson, Curtis Owens; and brother, Johnny Foskey.

Survivors include her son, Brian Owens (Hannah), of Dublin; daughter, Hollie Williams (Michael), of East Dublin; grandchildren, Cameron Williams and Allison Williams; brother, Reece Foskey (Debie), of East Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Minter Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Handley will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Padgett, Rusty Owens, Jason Owens, Robby Foskey, Heath Foskey, and Matt Foskey.
