Otis Oscar Powell

Graveside services for Otis Oscar Powell, age 81, of Montrose, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens.  Elder Spencer Fussell will officiate.  Mr. Powell died Thursday, January 14, 2021.

Mr. Powell worked as an electrician at Georgia Kaolin for seventeen years and was plant manager of Gilman Paper Company for twenty-five years.  He was a farmer, avid hunter, and fisherman.  Mr. Powell was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parents, W. J. and Odessa Silas Powell; siblings, Roy Powell, Carl Powell, Trudey Padgett, C. C. Powell, Ferrell Powell, Sybil Thomas, and Alma Powell.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Dell Powell, of Montrose; daughters, Mychelle Shackelford (Kin), of Dudley, Trentia Simpson (Tommy), of Macon, and Tina Watson (Torey), of Dublin; grandchildren, Caitln Clark (Franklin), Anna Moore (Blake), Marcee Simpson,  Kiley Brack; great grandchildren, Parker Brack, Jeffrey Clark, Eileen Clark, Maisyn Moore, and Maren Moore; brother, Ernest Powell (Judy), of Montrose; and several nieces and nephews.
