Peggy Lois Kight Lyles, age 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Lyles was born in Edgefield, SC on November 15, 1952 to the late Delmar Roy Kight and the late Opal Dean James Kight. She retired after working with Allen Bradley as a component technician for many years. She was a devoted member of Charity Baptist Church. She enjoyed beach trips and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Lyles, Jr., and sister, Carolyn Kight.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Steven David Brooks (Pam) of Rentz; daughter, Amy Brooks Orlando (Israel) of Ocala, FL; son, Mark Eugene Soles of Scott; grandchildren, Bridget Brooks, Taylor Brooks, Dawson Brooks, Dustin Warnock, Cassie Bennett, Jessie Orlando, Ethan Orlando, Channan Soles, Andi Soles, Emily Soles, Cam Soles, and Luke Soles; great-grandchildren, Riley Nobles, Presleigh Brooks, Layla Brooks, Kynadee Warnock, Jansyn Warnock, Ella Steward, and Lavena Orlando; sister, Yvonne Boyd (Larry); brothers, Randy Kight, Hugh Kight (Michelle), Kenneth Kight (Lisa), and Ricky Kight (Dee); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tim Powell and Rev. Jim Fennell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Brandon Kight, Donovan Kight, Ty Kight, David Kight, Thomas White, Greg Bennett, Paul Brooks, and Chris Norris will serve as pallbearers.
Ted Lyles will serve as honorary pallbearer.
