Raymond “Patty” Williams, age 91, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Williams was born in Greenwood, South Carolina on September 26, 1932, to the late Thomas Patterson Williams and the late Ethel Griffis Williams. He was a self-employed tile setter with an outstanding work ethic. He was a very hard-working man who was loved by everyone. He loved to hunt and fish. Most of all, he loved his wife and children.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann B. Williams, and siblings, Emily Horne, Jake Williams, Bobby Williams, Howard Williams, Edwin Williams, Lois Hardin, Landrum "Skip" Williams, and Carrie Morse.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Mary Ann Wisherd (Dwight Free) of Jasper; daughter, Kathy Sapp (Earl) of Dublin; son, Mark Williams of Dublin; daughter, Mandy Williams of Dublin; grandchildren, Eric Wisherd (Christy), Barbara Wisherd, Jennifer Mullis (Jason), Christopher Wisherd, Sam Sapp (Laurel), and Matthew Wisherd (Casey); fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dwayne Bedingfield will officiate the service.
