Reba Sterling

Reba Sterling, age 88, of East Dublin, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Mrs. Sterling was born in Laurens County on April 14, 1934, to the late Felton and Ethel Johnson Townsend. She was a member of the Dublin Church of God and retired from Rite Aid in East Dublin. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Sterling; son, Tracy Sterling; brother, Junior Townsend; and sisters, Flossie Smith, Betty Landrum, and Lorine Graham.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Sterling of East Dublin, and Shawn Sterling (Sonya) of Dublin; grandchildren, Marsha Sterling, Nicki Arrington (Michael), and Seaton Sterling; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Evans, Dylan White, Alex Arrington, and Taylor Arrington; sisters, Margaret Kight (Tommy), Alice Carr, and Dean Hembree (AB), and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 Pm until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Hardeman will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Phil Whittington, Robbie Evans, Terry Manus, Darrin Townsend, Dylan White, and Michael Arrington. Seaton Sterling will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
