Rickey Thomas

Mr. Rickey Thomas, age 64, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at his residence.

Rickey was born March 11, 1961 in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his father, the late John Louis Thomas; a brother, Michael Louis Thomas and his grandparents, Jim & Beatrice Thomas and John & Mamie Williams.

Rickey was a master at many trades and wore several hats. His rough exterior hid the fact that he was nothing more than just a big teddy bear. He was loved by his family and many friends and he had a great love for his mother, kids, grandkids, sisters and his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Thomas of Cadwell; his children, Michelle (Oliver) Lowery of Rentz, Marsha Thomas of Rentz, Beth Mimbs of Cadwell and Patrick (Elaine) Mimbs of Cadwell; two sisters, Cassandra (Joe) Justice of Chester and Mary Dowdy of Cadwell; eight grandchildren, Michael Howell, Jada Howell, Lane Muchison, Dawson Murchison, Salina Murchison, Brantley Mimbs, Beckett Mimbs and Bennett Mimbs. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Rowe and Minister Chris Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday.
