Robert Brown

Robert Brown, age 80, of East Dublin, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Serenity Place.

Mr. Brown was born in Laurens County and retired from Mohawk Industries and R.C. Cola. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cutting grass and working on lawnmowers. His greatest love was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernie Lee Hobbs Brown and wife, Gloriatean Jackson Brown.

Survivors include his children, Robbie (Gary) Gamiza, of Twin City, Robert F. Brown, of Kathleen, Danny Ray Brown, Debra Ann (Rusty) Johnson, Randy (Wanda) Brown, Timmy Lee Brown, all of East Dublin, and Shelia Marie (Jody) Evans, of Cochran; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Todd, of East Dublin and brother, Jimmy Brown, of Cadwell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Thipgen Cemetery. Rev. James Covington will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Billy Dixon, Nicholas Dixon, Pedro Sharpe, Jim Brown, Scottie Shaffer, and B.J. Brown.
