Robert D. Fountain

Graveside services for Robert D. Fountain, age 82, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Poplar Springs South Baptist Church.  Rev. Baron Powell will officiate.  Mr. Fountain died Saturday, January 16, 2021.

Mr. Fountain worked at Mohawk several years and delivered Chappell Mill cornmeal for over twenty years.  He was part owner of Georgia Burial Vault Company.  Mr. Fountain was a farmer and member of Bethesda Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. 

Mr. Fountain was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Effie Mae Kennedy Fountain, and sister, Claudia Mae Fountain.  Survivors include his wife, Valerie Fountain, of Dublin; children, Sheila Daniel (Scott), of Dudley, Neal Lindsey (Kathy), Darrell Lindsey (Lisa), and Lynn Poole (Tommy), all of Dublin; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
